Birthday Party!!!

TJ's Awesome Purple Party!!!

When E and J asked TJ what he wanted to do for his birthday or what kind of party he wanted- his response every time was a "purple party"!!!

TJ's music teacher Mr.Michael came and played a "rock" concert for his party! TJ and his friends wore purple and danced up a storm!

This is TJ's purple birthday shirt - E had a hard time getting a picture of it from all the dancing!

Everyone was so busy dancing and singing that there wasn't time to open presents at the party. After a  nap TJ opened his birthday presents at home. This was the first time he really understood and got into opening presents - he thought it was great!

It was a very fun birthday party and a great day. It is hard to believe that in less than a week our TJ will be THREE!!!

Big Boy Bed

TJ reached his goal of 10 days without a diaper- and so it was time for a big bed!
Testing out the beds was most important!
TJ picked out a car rug for his new big boy room and car bedding.
Then he helped take apart his crib
With a little help from J
Then "finally" his new bed was built
"Hey, what's in here (hehehe) - My FEET are in here" (hehehe)

It was a very exciting day and night!

January & February 2016

2016 has been off to a great start (despite E loosing the password to this blog!)

There was a little bit of snow, but sadly not enough to build a snowman.

There has been lots of Samson kisses, with the most patient greyhound in the world.

TJ and his best friend on a school field trip to see a play called "Bucket of Blessings"

A friend's birthday party - the three amigos have been buddies since day one of preschool!

TJ and another friend after music class!
TJ helped to decorate Omi's birthday cake and also enjoyed helping her eat it!

TJ continues his love of music!

and his new love of turning everything into a "light saber"

It's hard to believe but E&J are in the process of planning TJ's 3rd birthday! He has ask for a "Purple Party" (his new favorite color)  - everyone will wear purple and Mr. Michael (who wrote the music for the Pete the Cat books) is playing a concert! We can't wait!

Merry Christmas

What a wet Christmas Eve and Christmas day!
TJ woke up at 6:30 and was excited to see the presents under the tree.

He informed everyone that "it is not Halloween"

One of the presents TJ was most excited about was an accordion.

and some binoculars.

His favorite present by far was his motorcycle though!

Chattanooga

The weekend before Christmas TJ, E, and J went to Chattanooga to visit Bubbe and GrandDaddy.  It was a weekend full of adventures that included going on a steam engine train where Santa Claus and Mrs. Claus made an appearance.
Waiting for the train!

Bubbe brought special light necklaces
Santa and Mrs. Claus came on for a visit!

The next day TJ wanted to try ice skating. TJ had been talking about it for a couple of weeks so we decided to give it a try.
TJ was super excited to put on his ice skates...
and he did great walking on them...

getting on the ice was a different story...
TJ was not a fan of ice skating, so J helped him off.
TJ thinks he will like ice skating when he is 3 and because he was sad he wanted a corn dog!
We will try again next year!

More Santa!

Kindness elves.
Instead of elf on the shelf, we have been doing "kindness elves", these elves want to make everyone happy at Christmas with TJ's help. They write a letter every day and leave it in the red mailbox.

One morning TJ brushed Samson and gave him peanut butter (for breakfast), another morning TJ made a Christmas card for our Mail Lady (with a starbucks card), and today TJ helped J bake brownies for a Christmat concert at church.

TJ enjoyed listening to the Christmas music

Another Santa visit (E made this Mr.and Mrs. Claus' costumes) so TJ got a special longer visit!

We went to see "A year with Frog and Toad", TJ very much enjoyed the show.

and finally J and TJ went a step past ugly sweaters at a Christmas party!!!
