Giant Fish and Toads and Horses (oh my!)

Last weekend we went to Chattanooga to celebrate J's birthday weekend!

TJ got to see Bubbe and Granddaddy, and all his favorite Chattanooga people (aunts, uncles, cousins and godparents!) at J's birthday dinner!

But TJ's favourite part of the whole trip (aside from getting out of the carseat) was when he got to ride on another carousel!!! 

TJ was very patient while waiting in line with Granddaddy, but he was ready to ride!

This time TJ got to ride on one that goes up and down - so exciting!!!  In fact it was so exciting that TJ rode it three times!  Once on a giant fish, once on Mr Toad, and finally on a traditional horse!

While in Chattanooga, E, J, and TJ went to see their friend's amazing gallery show at the Betsy Smith Cultural Center.

E, J and TJ all recommend that you go see the exhibit, even if it means a special trip to Chattanooga!

TJ's experience with the arts continued as he has now had two Kindermusik lessons!

TJ LOVED the classes!!! (and, as he is a baby genius, he was the star student!) 

Then TJ got to have some more quality time with L, before she went back to Nigeria to eradicate polio. He was excited to meet her and can't wait for Christmas when L gets to visit again.

In other news, TJ has started teething, and J's hand is a great place to chomp down!  He treats it like it is an ear of corn.  J is glad that he has a high pain tolerance.

TJ is SO close to crawling and likes to practice multiple times a day.  E and J are both excited and afraid of the prospect of a very mobile and energetic TJ.
