Weekend Fun

Two blog posts in two days!  And this one has what everybody really wants, more pictures!

TJ is having an exciting week and weekend! First TJ took a trip outside the perimeter to the University and costume shop where E works! This was his first trip 'OTP' and while he enjoyed the trip, he declared himself to an 'ITP' baby.

Catching up!

It's been such an exciting couple of weeks that there have been a a few exciting things left off the blog!

TJ had his one month check up and was once again proclaimed to be perfect!  He is now 21.5" long and 9 pounds 3oz.  Waiting for the doctor makes TJ a hungry boy!

Welcome Party!

Sometimes things are so great, they are worth sharing.  While E and J feel that way about TJ, today some other really great people agreed that TJ is worth celebrating (either that, or they just like a good party!) because today some of E & J's friends hosted a 'Welcome TJ' party at their church.

This was an exciting time for so many people to finally meet TJ...
including TJ's Great Aunt S, Cousin S, and Aunt L!!!

Buppe and E were excited to share him!

There were more people who got to meet TJ for the first time, including E & J's  good friends and two of TJ's God Parents, N and S came from out of state to meet him today!

Guests wrote wishes for Baby TJ...

The beautiful AG, a wonderful junior hostess, observes the party and agrees with J that monkeys make the best toys.

It was a wonderful time, filled with great friends and family...

and of course, delicious food and E's favorite flower, Tulips!!!

TJ enjoyed the extended attention and the opportunity to see all of the people who he had heard so much about from E and J.  His first question when he got back in the car was, 'So where is the party going to be next week?'  Obviously E and J have some explaining to do...

Three Weeks Old!

E and J find it hard to believe that as of Tuesday, TJ is already three weeks old! And oh what a few weeks it has been.  TJ has been busy receiving his admirers and growing like a weed.

The talented CP stopped by with a lovely gift basket from the most recent show that E designed for baby TJ!  E forgot to get a picture of TJ snuggling with his new friend - so she took a picture of the the gift basket instead.  E keeps talking about what a truly great group of people the cast and crew are and how wonderful it was to work with them!

On Saturday a friend of E and J, AN, from church stopped by to visit TJ.  Very exciting!

Fun Times!

What a week it has been!  TJ is still excited about all of the people he met on Sunday, including C and VM, both of whom where almost as excited as E and J about TJ's arrival.

Needless to say, TJ loved the attention...

Our friends, C, D, and baby A came over and brought us a delicious dinner on Tuesday.  E & J are getting spoiled by all her delicious food!

Later in the week, a visit by B was met with equal enthusiasm, especially since she willing fed him (TJ is a sucker for nice people with food).  B also made an amazing 'Pete the Cat' stuffed animal for TJ and the cute bath towel (in the bath picture below!).

Thursday also brought with it bath time...

First Easter

Well TJ was quick to point out that it is not the first Easter, but it is his first Easter.  And what an Easter it was!

TJ not only went to church for the first (and second) times, but he also got to see his Bubbe and Granddaddy for the first time (in person - hooray for face time!) too!  They were thrilled, and so was TJ, who promptly went to sleep for a large chunk of the day.

TJ did seem to enjoy church, though he slept through most of it, none of it made him cry.  TJ notes that his reaction should not be taken as a reflection on the service, but rather as a reminder that he is only 12 days old.  Sleeping is kind of his thing.

J fixed a post worship brunch consisting of fresh berries, biscuits, a frittatta with red and green peppers, onion, and kalamata olives, along with some sauteed swiss chard.  While TJ didn't try any, he did declare that he wished he could eat 'real' food and not just his formula, but his emerging foodie'ism
didn't stop him from his normal routine of eating and sleeping.
