Back to School

The Sunday before school started our church had blessing of the backpacks.
TJ was very excited by his new dinosaur book bag that his Bubbe picked out.

TJ has also started a new trend of wearing a band aid on his forehead, because of teeny tiny scratch that very dramatically needed a band aid for two weeks!

First Day of School!

Mr. Cool is happy to be back with his friends!

Easter

Palm Sunday Dancing (for some reason the music recorded very strange)

Pinwheels at the Saturday kids Easter service

Easter Egg Hunt

TJ was a fan of the pony

and the duck

and the goat!
An Easter package from Bubbe arrived on Saturday

Attempts were made to decorate eggs but TJ discovered that breaking them was more fun (E&J are pretty sure this is the longest he has ever sat still)

Second Easter egg hunt at the house!

Friends with great style!

Christmas 2014

Such a wonderful Christmas Day!

TJ started out Christmas Eve with the last piece of the Advent calendar chocolate. TJ is one big chocolate fan, he is going to miss his daily chocolate candy!

TJ, E, J, and Omi went to the children's Christmas Eve service. TJ was especially handsome in his Christmas suit!

They gave the kids glow sticks (instead of candles) which TJ thought was pretty awesome.

TJ's friend from church gave him his "kid" bike. Their family is starting a tradition of sharing when you get new things. He was getting a "big kid" bike and wanted to share his balance bike with TJ. TJ was thrilled, it is going to take some practice but he will learn it quickly!

A brief moment of quiet before TJ woke up Christmas morning.

TJ thought it was so exciting that he and J had matching Star Wars pjs...

He had special Christmas glasses...

and panettone french toast!  TJ wanted to celebrate his Italian heritage.

TJ opened presents from Mommy, Daddy, and Omi (he is signing fire truck in this picture) after breakfast...

Lots of new books too!

Then we went to church to make sandwiches and share food with the homeless (and play with a friend's dog too)

TJ helped by eating a candy cane and helping to sort the food (or at least supervise)!

When we got back from church, Bubbe and GrandDaddy were here with more presents!

A big boy helmet...

A kitchen to cook in.

and a tricycle! TJ is really into things that "move" he is one excited boy to have a tricycle and a balance bike!

We went for a walk with Samson.

Christmas Selfie before Bubbe and GrandDaddy had to head back home. (TJ wasn't entirely sure what was happening here)

Tschüß

TJ has been going to a Parent's Day Out, two days a week, in the mornings at a new preschool in Atlanta (started this year) at our church. He absolutely loves interacting and playing with the other children.

We can not say enough great things about the PDO, the teachers, and that it is dual language!

Yesterday was the end of the year party to say "tschüß" (bye!)

TJ can't wait for August!

Nine Months and Christmas!

We did a 9 month photo shoot this morning, we had been so busy that we missed his 9 month birthday! The Gingerbread boy chair was made by E's Pop-Pop for her cousin's 2nd birthday in 1968!

Later in the morning,  E, J, TJ, and Omi went with their church on an Immersion Walk to feed the homeless in Atlanta.

After the Immersion Walk - Bubbe and Grand Daddy came from Chattanooga to be with TJ on his first Christmas.

He enjoyed the boxes and wrapping paper almost as much as the presents!

TJ got a tunnel that (as you can see from his grin) is - AWESOME!!!

He also got a mini piano from Bubbe and Grand Daddy -it was a big hit!

Later, we decided to go to get Chinese food for Christmas, TJ greatly enjoyed the egg drop soup!

Merry Christmas!!!
